TU LLC has strict policies that are expected to be followed by all staff members. Please read these carefully and check them often as they will be updated as needed and are subject to change.
Name Tags
Name tags are issued after a staff member has completed their one-month trial period. One name tag is issued per staff member. The name tag will have the staff member's first name only and their job/position title.
TU LLC will issue a replacement for a lost or damaged name tag provided it is the first incident and not due to negligence of the staff member. Any name tags lost or damaged after the initial replacement will be the responsibility of the staff member.
Cell Phones
Staff members are allowed to keep their cell phones with them while working for emergency use only. Staff must keep their cell phones out of sight at all times and they must be set to silent mode. In the event of receiving or making a phone call, staff members need to take a break (staff members are allowed 2 ten-minute breaks per shift) and MUST step away from the circulation desk and away from patrons.
Personal Belongings
TU LLC provides staff with lockers in the back of the library for staff members' personal belongings. All personal items will be kept in the lockers and the key will then be kept with the staff member at all times. If a staff person has belongings that will not fit in the lockers, the items should be left at home. In rare situations, a staff member may request that oversized items be stored in the office of the supervisor that is working that day.
