As the nation’s principal health statistics agency, the National Center for Health Statistics compiles statistical information to guide actions and policies to improve the health of our people. They are a unique public resource for health information--a critical element of public health and health policy.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) of the U.S. Department of Labor is the principal federal agency responsible for measuring labor market activity, working conditions, and price changes in the economy.
