EDU 610: Educational Research: Check for Full Text

Use the GALILEO Advanced Search option to browse for articles from a specific journal. 

1. Type the journal title (not the article title) into the search bar.
2. Change the Select a Field menu option to SO Journal Title/Source, and click on the Search button.
3. The title of the journal will appear in bold under each search result in the results list.
4. To find a specific article, if you have the title of the article, enter the complete title into the search bar.
5. Change the Select a Field menu option to TI Title and click on the Search button. 
6. Alternatively, you can try the All Journals search method.
7. If you don't see a PDF, HTML Or Full Text icon under the result, that means the article is not available. You can check the Full Text box under Limit To to only find full text articles from that specific journal title. 

If you can't find the article that you want to read by searching for the journal title in the GALILEO Advanced Search feature, try looking up the journal in the All Journals list.

1. On the GALILEO homepage, click on the All Journals button underneath the search bar.
2. Type the journal title (not the article title) into the search bar, and click on the Search button.
3. If you find the journal in the search results, open the Full Text Access menu by clicking on the small, blue box.
4. Choose one of the databases listed. Click through to the specific year, volume, and issue that the article appears in. Then scroll through that issue's results to find the article that you're looking for.
5. Look for the PDF Full Text link. If you can't find it, then you don't have access to the article.
