Register for a free account on the Zotero website.
Once you have registered and are logged in, click Download Now.
Download and install both Zotero 6.0 for your computer and the Zotero Connector for your Internet browser.
Note: To install Zotero on a Chromebook, follow these instructions.
Zotero will automatically detect your computer's operating system and Internet browser.
The example below is for a Windows PC using Google Chrome, so yours might look different, depending on your computer and Internet browser.
Once you have downloaded and installed Zotero 5.0, the application will automatically open.
Sync the application with your Zotero account.
This will let GALILEO resources that you store using Zotero populate in the application.
Click on Edit in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
In the drop-down menu that appears, click on Preferences.
In the Preferences pop-up window that appears, click on the second tool for Sync.
Log in to your account.
Click on Okay.
After logging in, click on the small green sync button in the top right-hand corner of the Zotero window.
The sync symbol is very tiny, so don't miss it!
