Long Overdue Items

All Thomas University Library items not returned after 30 days will be considered “Long Overdue” and the patron will be sent a bill in the amount of the item’s replacement cost plus a processing fee of $5 for the item.  These fees, not including the late fee, can be waived when/if the item is returned in good condition.

When paying for damaged/lost items patrons will need to pay for accrued late fees, replacement cost of item, and the processing fee of $5.

The library does not accept substitute materials to replace damaged or lost items.

Students:

Library bills will be added to student accounts. All fines and fees must be paid in the Thomas University Business Office or online via the student portal.

Faculty/Staff:

Library bills will be sent to Human Resources for payroll deduction if the book is not returned after three months since receiving the Long Overdue bill.

Refunds on Returned Lost or Missing Items

No refunds are given for any fines or fees once they have been sent to the Business Office or Human Resources.
