1.On the search screen, enter your search terms into the search box. The default search is Classic Search which is GALILEO's Basic Search option. Select the Search button.
2. There are 9,352 results from this search. Notice "All filters" is 0. With no filters selected, your results will include both scholarly and non-scholarly results.
4. Next to filters, click on Full Text and Peer Reviewed filters. The Full Text limiter will only include articles available through our library. The Peer Reviewed filter will only include scholarly results from peer-reviewed publications including academic journals, books, and other secondary sources. What do you notice about the results? Adding filters will decrease the number of citations in the search results.
5. Under Source Type, select Academic Journals to only find scholarly journal articles.
6. Under All time, you can also add a filter to search All time, Past 12 months, Past 5 years and Past 10 years.
7. When we choose the filter "Past 5 years," our results go from 1306 to 967.
